Building Talent Foundation Engagement Manager Jonathan Karg will advance BTF’s mission in East Tennessee
With the help of D.R. Horton, one of Building Talent Foundation’s Founding Partners & Social Investors, BTF announces the opening of their 10th territory in the Knoxville/East Tennessee region. Engagement Manager Jonathan Karg will partner with D.R. Horton, a leading home construction company, to connect talent with employers in the area.
Barak Saltzman, the Division CFO of D.R. Horton, looks forward to working with the nonprofit foundation. He says, “We are excited to bring BTF to Knoxville and East Tennessee. Our area is growing, yet we have a labor shortage to build the homes we need to support the local economic growth. We look forward to BTF bringing focus to the opportunities in residential construction.”
BTF’s continued success in bringing talent into the workforce is made possible through Social Investors’ collaboration with Engagement Managers. Together, they support BTF’s mission to advance the education, training, and career progression of young people and people from underrepresented groups, as skilled technical workers and business owners in residential construction. BTF’s latest Engagement Manager, Jonathan Karg is a valuable addition to their team.
Jonathan knows what it’s like to serve the community. He comes to BTF from the United States Navy, where he excelled as both a Navy Talent Acquisition Specialist and a Training Officer. With his experience serving the country, Jonathan is a perfect fit for BTF’s goal of creating access to jobs in the Tennessee region. Jonathan’s expertise includes recruiting, high-volume candidate sourcing, employee assessments, onboarding, and management of high-quality applicant pools.
Jonathan is enthused about working with BTF and understands the importance of its mission. He says, “Companies cannot find enough talent to maintain a strong workforce. This is where BTF comes in and is how I see BTF strengthening the construction industry talent pool. By not only locating and placing but tracking and following up with each individual.”
The support of our Social Investors propels BTF’s mission forward. Barak notes that this partnership not only strengthens the construction industry but also strengthens communities. “Our partnership with BTF will help enable our trade partners to grow their teams to help deliver quality, affordable homes to the families of East Tennessee. It will help provide a path for many to earn a living wage and grow their own economic future. We look forward to changing the environment in which we build, growing opportunities for our trade partners and the new talent that will be joining them.”
